Postalloy 2933SA - Provides weld deposits that are similar in chemistry and heat-treatment to AISI 4130 steel. Weld metal is machinable “as welded”. Deposited hardness depends on welding procedure used. |
Hardness: as welded 32-36 Rc. heat-treat up to 52 Rc. Wire Type: submerged arc Recommended Flux: neutral Available Sizes: 3/32", 1/8" (2.4, 3.2 mm) |

Postalloy 2940SA - Provides weld deposits that are similar in chemistry and heat-treatment to AISI 4140 steel. Weld metal is machinable “as welded”. Deposited hardness depends on welding procedure used. |
Hardness: as welded 38 - 40 Rc. heat-treat up to 56 Rc. Recommended Flux: neutral Available Sizes: 3/32", 1/8" (2.4, 3.2 mm) |

Postalloy 2953SA is an iron base alloy that deposits weld metal similar in composition and heat-treatment to H-12 tool steel. Weld deposits are hard and tough, resistant to abrasion, metal-to-metal wear and high compressive loading. Retains hardness at elevated temperatures. Typical applications include work rolls, vertical edger rolls, flaking rolls, pipe forming rolls, leveler rolls, dredge ladder rolls, pins |
Hardness: 50 - 54 Rc. Recommended Flux: neutral Available Sizes: 3/32", 1/8", 5/32” (2.4, 3.2, 4.0 mm) |
|
Postalloy 2930SA is a low alloy steel composition. Use for build-up on carbon and low alloy steels. Highly machinable. The weld metal has good compressive strength, making it an excellent base for more wear resistant hard surfacing overlays. Deposits are crack-free and with no limit on deposit thickness. Typical Applications - Build-up underneath more wear resistant overlays. Final overlay on journals, splines, threaded areas. |
Hardness: 30 - 35 Rc. Recommended Flux: neutral Available Sizes: 3/32", 1/8" (2.4, 3.2 mm) |
