CRUSHING, GRINDING & PULVERIZING

Hardfacing Extends the life of Crushing,
Grinding and Pulverizing Equipment

Use of Postalloy hardfacing alloys will dramatically improve the wear life,
and therefore length of service of equipment used for crushing, grinding,
pulverizing all sorts of materials - stone and rock, sand and gravel,
concrete, cement, minerals, coal and metal ores.

There are a wide variety of crusher types and designs - roll crushers,
impact crushers, gyratory crushers, cage crushers, pulverizing rolls and
hammermills - and all work by using a combination of impact and compression.
Impact subjects the part to immediate and rapid crushing forces that usually
result in deformation and spalling of the metal surface. Compression, which
generally means that the force is applied for a longer period of time,
results in mostly abrasion.

No single procedure or hard surfacing overlay will solve all the problems.
Postle Industries, a leading supplier of hardfacing products, offers a
complete range of flux-cored welding wires and welding electrodes. We have
the experience to recommend the right procedure for any application
involving the repair and rebuilding of equipment used for processing by
crushing, grinding and pulverizing. A well planned maintenance program,
emphasizing wear prevention by hard surfacing of worn parts will result in
increased production and more uniformly sized finished product, less wear
and tear on crusher components, reduce part replacement and changeouts, and
a substantially reduced cost per ton.
