CUTTER BLOCKS:

 

1)         Repair to within 3/16" (4.8 mm) of finished size with Postalloy 2866-FCO.

 

2)         Weld slightly oversize by preheating to 600º - 700ºF (316º - 371ºC)) and using cobalt 2501-SPL, using the skip weld technique and beads 1/2" to 3/4" wide (12 to 18 mm).

 

 

 

HYDRAPULPER:

 

1)         Rebuild inner and outer segments on hydrapulper rotors to within 3/16" (4.8 mm) of finished size with Postalloy 2866-FCO.

 

2)         Finish overlay with 2 layers of Postalloy 2871-SPL.

 

 

GENERAL:   (Pump casings, Impellers, Chutes)

 

NEW:

 

1)         Weld one layer with .045” or 1/16" (1.2 or 1.6 mm) diameter Postalloy 2820-SPL or 2834-SPL.

 

2)         Outline wear area with stringer beads

 

3)         Fill in framed area with 3" (75 mm) long stringer beads, using skip weld procedure.

 

OLD:

 

1)         Replace worn metal less than 50% of original thickness with:

 

a)         Stainless or stainless clad plate if part was stainless.  Join with Postalloy 2866-FCO.

 

b)         C1045 plate if magnetic.  Join with Postalloy 30-FCG or 3044-FCG.

 

2)         Hardface as needed.

 

 


VALVES:

 

1)         Repair to slightly over original dimensions using ,045" (1.2 mm) stainless wire.

 

2)         Machine to size.

 

 

 

 

Join manganese to manganese with 2850-FCO

 

Join manganese to carbon or low alloy steels with 285-FCO, 285-SPL, or 2865-FCO, 2866-FCO.

 

Join stainless to itself or to other base metals with 30-SPL, 30-FCG, or 2866-FCO.

 

Join carbon and low alloy steels with 306-FCO or 3044-FCG
